I go through spouts of this disorder.  Some weeks I do great and I get full and satisfied from my meals, other weeks I just can not stop eating.  The weeks that I am more emotional are the weeks that I eat more, I am a comfort eater.  It has been hard to deal with and the self control is just hopeless those weeks.  Does anyone else have this issue?

Hey Nichole,
Thank you for opening up about this.  Many people face these same issues.  You are not alone.   I had the same thing going on for a few years very badly.   I have coped with them since.  But what helped me was really trying to think why I am eating when and what I am eating during that time. Is it fueling me to feel better?  Will I regret over eating right afterward?  Does this align with my fitness goals?  Those 3 have helped manage my emotional eating.  It does take work but take it one meal at a time and you will be surprised how you can change and have self control.  Hope this helps some.

@Tim McComsey Thank you so much for sharing! I am going to try implementing those 3 questions, I have been a little extra this last week and about 30 minutes after eating I regret it and I feel terrible.  Last night was horrible!

@Nichole Nelson I find I eat when I have a lot of stress. And I don't eat when I am incredibly sad. I am so grateful you asked this question. I really appreciate Tim's answer regarding thinking about why he was eating. I think that will probably help me balance myself so that I can maintain a healthy eating habit.

@Nichole Nelson  you are welcome.   I hope these can help you.  Try not to regret eating anything.  Move on from that meal and know that the next meal can be better.   You got this.

@Julie Wright thanks for jumping in on this.  I hope you find the balance with this as well. Most of us struggle but some never realize that we do.   Knowing we do is important so we can  learn to make the changes to help us in each situation.   Keep strong🙂

@Tim McComsey It has been going well.  I did over eat a few weeks ago that really did a number but in about 4 weeks that is the only issue I had.  I think in learning.  Thanks for checking in on me.
