I've been suffering from various issues for the last 14 years of my life, since I was 19. I have Ulcerative Colitis, chronic back pain, and a hereditary form of neuropathy among other things. Just when one thing gets resolved, another pops up or an existing issue flares up. I constantly feel as if I'm battling doctors to get things done.

As a result, I take really good care of myself, both mentally and physically. I exercise and stretch regularly, meditate, and I've tried almost every diet protocol out there. I've learned that what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another. My body needs carbs, so I have those in moderation. Moderation is key!!! Keto would probably land me in the hospital with the high fat and low carb threshold. I'm much happier and feel better when I listen to my body and what it's telling me.

Take care of yourself, mentally and physically, but listen to your body and don't deprive yourself. It makes the fight with chronic illness and pain a little bit easier!

And for whoever needs to hear this, don't give up!!! You are worth fighting for, and with chronic illness you literally are fighting for your life. 💖

Amen sister!  I NEED carbs too, haha and my body was telling me that after two weeks of keto diet so I stopped. 
It's important to listen to your body and take time to care for yourself.  We are better human beings when we do!
I'm sorry your body undergoes so much pain, a few things that help me are arnica cream/gel, salonpas, and my hot water bottle.  Best wishes on your health journey!
